Merry Christmas

We're spending the day at Grandma's with the pugs. Charlie, Abby & Mack are looking forward to lots of turkey and carrots and creating as much of a ruckus as possible!

Happy Birthday Charlie

Here's a picture of our first day with Charlie at home. He was so tiny then!
Today is Charlie's third Birthday. We plan to spend it at home snuggling on the couch and later tonight he's going to his favorite place....Grandma's :)

Abby now...and then

I've been told that I'm playing favorites since there are so many photo's of Charlie on this site. Oops....didn't realize I was doing that since obviously we love all of them like crazy.
So.......here's Abby. She turned two on October 6th (2006) and is the world's most cuddly pug. She's happy as long as she can be held or snuggled by me.
Chris makes fun of her because he says she was the ugliest pug puppy ever....can you imagine saying that to a pug?! I always thought she was pretty.

Toys, Toys & More toys

We have enough toys in this house for 100 dogs. It's not that I'm crazy, it's just that when you have three dogs the toys really take a beating. They all decide to fight over one toy and the poor thing gets pulled from every angle....if one rips, we usually sew it up but it's futile.

We've performed many toy surgery's in this house and now I'm thinking we should have a graveyard in our garden to bury the poor lions, frogs and monkeys that the pugs decide to massacre. (Can you picture what the neighbours would think! I'll dig my holes in the dead of night....might as well make them wonder!)
Our little guy is the worst with toys....it's what we call a "Mack Attack". There's nothing like being late for work and running all around the house picking up toy guts.

Pug Portraits

What do you do when you love your dogs and don't want to leave them at home alone during the day? I chose to work at a Vet Clinic so I could take them with me.

We had these portraits done early 2005 by one of the Vets at the clinic. It's bad enough that she's young, pretty and a great Veterinarian but she has to be a talented artist too?! I feel like such an underachiever!

Sakana Photography

We just had Charlie's photos done professionally and couldn't be happier with the results. The photo's are amazing, we got the package that gave us 45 min. of photography time with 3 different background changes, costume changes and all the photo's on disk. We received the finished cd within a week! Rhiana & Kaz were so nice to deal with and we plan to have our other two guys photographed by Sakana. (they were also very generous and supported pug rescue this year!). If you're in the Toronto area, you'll definately want to check them out!

Review: Seggia Furniture

If you have a pug, you know that one of their favorite things is sleeping. Sometimes I look at them and wish I was a pug...ours can sleep for a good sixteen hours straight and I'm not exaggerating! So, a good bed is very important to a pug. We've tried many dog beds...some have been great and long lasting while others the pugs wouldn't touch.

We first found Seggia Furniture at Woofstock 2006 and fell in love with their beds right away. We now have four of their beds, yes....four. Why? If you pick one of our pugs off their Seggia bed, they will jump right back on. I once did it ten times to Charlie before he finally realized I meant business and he had to get up and do something. They are soft and squishy, easy to clean, look like actual furniture that suits anyone's decor and hold up really well to everyday use. Not to mention they won't break your bank account and they have lots of different styles and tonnes of fabric choices. You'll love dealing with Seggia Furniture........tell them the pugs sent you!

Introduction

I never thought I'd be a crazy dog person...I always liked dogs but one always seemed like the perfect number. Then came Charlie the pug. After that, we got the pug bug and now have three. I keep promising my husband that we are finished now...three's enough!

The pugs have taken over the house. They have more clothes than we do, more jewelery than I do and more beds than any dog needs. They have seatbelts for the car, they eat way better than we do and always have a first aid kit close by. (but ask me where there's a band-aid in the house for us and I couldn't tell you!). Their needs come before our own...friends that come over expect to sit on the floor, the pugs usually have already taken over the couch. We look forward to sharing all the crazyness of our house with all of you.
